Guided tour of premises
The old chapel, of which only the exterior structure has been left untouched by the developer who bought it, has had its interior completely remodelled, according to the plans of the architect Louis de Beauvoir.
The building consists of four floors.
At the entrance a large reception roomwith a reception area. On the side walls are two papier maché models by Xavier Dijon: the House of Europe and the Pascal Clock.
Below a crypt with the Blessed Sacrament, inductive to personal prayer. The gold cross is the work of the goldsmith sculptor Philippe Denis.
Constructed by the organ builder Etienne Debaisieux, the organ is placed on a gallery along the left side of the chapel.
The chapel having lost its previous height, the stained glass windows, work by the Viennese painter Thomas Reinhold and made by the workshop of the Schlierbach convent, in Austria, have become windows on the outside world.
The symbolism represented in the four stained glass windows: The creation , the Incarnation, The Burning bush, the gift of the Spirit at Pentecost and in the end window on the façade, The Resurrection.
There is a meeting room above, with facilities and with a mezzanine floor comprising four rooms, offering accommodation if required to a few residents.
