Herman van Rompuy: Bringing hope and solidarity into European integration

The Chapel of the Resurrection seeks to serve as a sign of reconciliation and unity in the face of the plurality and diversity of Christian communities in Europe, and of the peoples and countries of Europe. As the title indicates inspeaking of ’resurrection’, its ambition is to point to life and to hope. During this year, celebrating the Chapel’s tenth anniversary we have been considering ’signs of resurrection in Europe today’.

To conclude this year’s event, and to look forward to the future, we have arranged a Round Table on June 4th at 19.45 on the theme, “Bringing hope and solidarity into European integration”.

Participants in the discussion will be:

Mr Herman Van Rompuy
President of the European Council

With him will be

His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel of France
Director of Liaison Office of the Orthodox Church to the European Union

Right Reverend Nick Baines
Bishop of Bradford, England

Ms OKR Katrin Hatzinger
Head of Brussels Office of the Protestant Church in Germany

Mr Steffan Nilsson
President of the European Economic and Social Committee

Right Reverend Noël Treanor
